Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Conducts as per sales policy and practice established by the sales and marketing, corporate sales & marketing and the hotels.
- Ensures smooth running operation of the division’s administrative functions.
- Cooperates with all departments to ensure the accuracy of information issued.
- Follows and provides feedback to the superior of ways to improve the sales and marketing standards and policy.
- Reports on confirmed and anticipated bookings for forecasting purposes.
- Liaises with rooms & guest services, reservation, and banquet department.
- To contact potential business leads, keeping control of heavy booking dates as per advised by sales manager/ assistant sales manager.
- Corresponds with group contacts.
- Maintains close contract with travel agents, local business groups and airlines.
- Liaises with concerned departments to ensure that operations will deliver the best quality products to the clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assists sales team members in organizing the filing system of the department.
- Ensures that the stock of stationery items are accounted for and well maintained.
- Organizes the recording system for all in-coming and out-going correspondences.
- Handles all typing work required.
- Assists in the dispatch and collection of correspondence in hotel.
- Takes minutes of meetings.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the office.
- Handles all incoming telephone calls and take messages and follow up.
- Prepares & checks all in-coming communication messages such as facsimile and e-mail messages.
- Issues on a weekly basis for a further details and status of residential meeting groups to sales persons. therefore, if confirmed correct information to be re-entered, if cancelled such space can be released.
- Updates production reports of corporate & travel agents monthly, quarterly and yearly.
- Assists the director of sales and sales team members in issuing travel agents contract rates, questionnaires as requested.
- Ensures that all complaints are reviewed and investigated by director of sales and follow-up action is initiated by Sales persons.
Technical Responsibilities
- Knows, understands, and reviews the job description given.
- Knows and understands policies of the department well.
- Recognizes and able to manage to maintain good quality products and presentation.
- Checks, reviews, and proposes service standards established by the company.
- Provides assistance to colleagues when required.
- Maintains self-grooming standards.
- Manages wastes by reducing and recycling the wastes, carefully use of resources.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with guest, clients, business partners and staff.
- To be a good sales person to promote hotel’s image and businesses.
- Participates community projects or activities in order to promoting the hotel’s image and cooperation to improve community relationship.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- To be evaluated according to the performance evaluation program.
- Attends training as required by the company and to develop him/herself to grow effectively.
Relationship
- Coordinates with all concerned personnel to ensure that all activities are accomplished.
- Interacts with clients, guests, government officials, suppliers, and other important individuals in the community in promoting the hotel.
Others
- Continuous learning through own IDP.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

- Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases, both hard copy and electronic. Adhere to Dusit Internet and E-mail policy. Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
Job Requirements
- Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant discipline
- Minimum of 1 year sales experience in a similar capacity
- Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Result-Oriented. Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel
