Job summary

Nemko in Mysuru is seeking a technically competent Test Engineer to perform safety and environmental testing in accordance with international and defence standards. The role involves test execution, documentation, reporting, and ensuring compliance with laboratory quality and safety procedures.

You will operate test equipment, prepare test records and technical reports, track progress, and communicate updates to internal teams and customers while upholding QMS and safety controls.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of safety testing.
• Understanding of IEC 62368, IEC 60335, and IEC 61010.
• Understanding of laboratory testing procedures and test equipment.
• Knowledge of QMS documentation and technical report preparation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform product safety and environmental testing as per approved standards and test procedures.
• Conduct mandatory safety testing as per IEC 62368, IEC 60335, and IEC 61010.
• Conduct environmental testing as per QM333, IEC 60068 Series, MIL Standards, and JSS Standards.
• Operate test equipment and monitor testing activities to ensure accurate results.
• Prepare test records, technical reports, and supporting documentation in compliance with QMS requirements.
• Track test progress and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory quality, safety, and operational procedures.
• Identify technical issues and support troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
