The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of construction safety experience, a related diploma or degree, and strong knowledge of safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of safety legislation, procedures, and OHS standards
• Excellent communication skills to present and explain health and safety topics
• Outstanding organizational and hazard-spotting skills
• First Aid and CPR certification is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures for construction sites
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
• Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and preventive actions
• Maintain records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
• Organize safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and drills for site staff
• Collaborate with engineers and site managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
• Ensure workers wear necessary PPE

Key Responsibilities

• Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.

• Collaborate with engineers and site managers to monitor compliance and identify safetyissues.
• Ensure that all workers wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Safety Officer or similar role in the constructionindustry.
