The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Safety Management, with a Master’s preferred, and certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA.

You will collaborate with project teams, sites, and contractors to drive safety excellence on-site.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• Safety certifications (NEBOSH/OSHA/IOSH or equivalent) advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering a culture of safety across construction sites.

Job Description

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and plans for large infrastructure projects.
• Lead the safety team to ensure effective implementation of safety measures across all project sites.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards, such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and IS codes.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain proper documentation of safety records, incident reports, and compliance checklists.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments for all construction activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor high-risk activities, such as working at heights, heavy equipment operations, and confined spaces, to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and conduct safety training programs for workers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Organize toolbox talks, safety drills, and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety on-site.
• Ensure all personnel are aware of emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety measures into construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (mandatory).
• Master's degree in Safety Management or Construction Management (preferred).

Additional Information

• Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Experience in managing safety for live environments, such as operational airports or malls.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a culture of safety.
