Additional Qualification (Mandatory): PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) or ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) from a State Government-recognized institute

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Engineer to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance for a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting safety inspections, monitoring site activities, and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company standards, and project HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA).
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for project personnel.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, excavation, confined space entry, hot work, and electrical works.
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain safety records, registers, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness of emergency response systems.
• Monitor availability and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and project management teams to ensure safe execution of work.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and present safety performance metrics.
• Strong knowledge of industrial construction safety standards and regulations.
• Experience in implementing HSE management systems at project sites.
• Understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation techniques.
• Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and emergency response procedures.
• Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
