Job summary

NXT Talent Studio is seeking a Safety Engineer (m/f/d) for a globally recognized leader in secure connectivity and embedded semiconductor solutions. The role sits in the Functional Safety Competence Center across Bangalore and Noida, collaborating with world-class engineers to define and validate safety concepts for automotive and industrial applications.

You will develop safety requirements, ensure traceability, perform IP/SoC level safety analyses, and drive a certifiable development process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• 5–8 years of semiconductor product development experience with exposure to functional safety.
• Strong knowledge of MCU/MPU architectures and their automotive/industrial safety applications.
• Experience with ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 standards.
• Self-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures for safety-compliant semiconductor products.
• Develop functional safety requirements with full traceability across the lifecycle.

Within the dedicated Functional Safety Competence Center, you will collaborate with world-class engineers driving innovation across the automotive and industrial sectors.

In this role, you are not just a cog in the wheel—you actively define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures from the ground up. Acting as a vital bridge between systems, hardware, software, and implementation teams, you ensure that next-generation semiconductor products meet the highest safety, certifiability, and compliance standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures for safety-compliant semiconductor products.
• Develop functional safety requirements and ensure comprehensive traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform thorough safety analyses at IP and SoC levels to address potential risks and establish robust mitigation mechanisms.
• Partner closely with systems, hardware, software, and implementation teams to deliver robust, certifiable solutions.
• Drive and ensure a Functional Safety-compliant development process aligned with industry safety standards.

Your Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 5–8 years of experience in semiconductor product development with exposure to functional safety.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures and their application in automotive or industrial safety domains.
• Strong understanding of IP- and SoC-level safety mechanisms and safety analysis techniques.
• Self-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Business fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong background in chip design architecture combined with high motivation to learn and specialize in Functional Safety.
• Hands-on experience with relevant automotive and industrial functional safety standards (such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508).
