Job summary

SRJ Piping India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Site Safety Officer with good knowledge of fire safety and industrial/construction site safety. The candidate will implement safety procedures, monitor site activities, conduct inspections and ensure compliance with client and statutory requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of site safety experience, NEBOSH certification is a plus, and hands-on ability to manage PTW, PPE and fire protection systems on active project sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Safety, Fire & Safety, Industrial Safety, Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience.
• Experience in fire protection, industrial piping, fabrication, MEP or construction projects preferred.
• NEBOSH Certification is a plus.
• Strong practical knowledge of fire safety and construction safety.
• Good communication, documentation and manpower coordination skills.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day site safety and HSE compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
• Supervise safety during hot work, welding, cutting, grinding, work at height, lifting and electrical activities.
• Ensure availability and proper placement of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineer, Fire Supervisor, client and main contractor's safety team.
• Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, toolbox talk records and other HSE documentation.
• Stop or escape any work that presents an immediate safety risk.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, monitoring site activities, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with client and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day site safety and HSE compliance.


• Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.


• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.


• Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.


• Supervise safety during hot work, welding, cutting, grinding, work at height, lifting and electrical activities.
