Job summary

Marutee in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to create and develop mechanical systems and components for automotive applications from concept to production.

The role involves 2–5 years of experience in automotive product design, heavy emphasis on NX CAD modelling, GD&T, and BOM creation using SAP and Windchill. You will design plastic, sheet metal, casting and machined parts and contribute through prototyping and design reviews.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Machine Design.
• Around 2–5 years of working experience in Automotive Product Design.
• Strong 2D/3D modelling and drafting using NX CAD.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Proactive approach and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on mechanical design aspects of automotive components, with a high level of drafting and 3D CAD modelling skills using Unigraphics NX CAD software.
• Design plastic, sheet metal, casting and machined parts.
• Apply a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Apply sound understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes of various components and engineering materials.
• Prepare and present mechanical designs at design reviews, and support design teams.
• Prototyping – support the creation and testing of prototypes for design validation.
• Report progress of all assigned tasks to the Reporting Manager.
• Create BOMs in SAP and Windchill.
