Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer to lead the structural domain for oil & gas assets, both upstream and downstream. You will drive technical solutions, plan execution, and coordinate with global teams to ensure safe, reliable structures.

The role requires deep experience with fixed and floating offshore systems, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in civil/structural engineering.
• 3 to 15 years of oil gas experience in related industry (Onshore/Offshore structural projects).
• Strong technical & analytical skills.
• Sound knowledge on Oil & Gas upstream and downstream business in risk-based inspection, fixed equipment inspection, inspection optimization, fitness for service & life extension studies.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.
• Experience with structural risk assessments of Offshore & Onshore structures.
• Experience with fixed and floating offshore structures (Concrete Gravity Based, Steel Jacket Platforms, FPSO, Semi-Submersible).
• Ability to perform design calculations for reinforced concrete and steel structures using applicable design codes.
• Excellent verbal & written communication.
• Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills; able to train and mentor new team members.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Familiarity with codes and standards
• Knowledge of software (STAAD Pro, SACS, APM Meridium, Pestra, Credo, etc.)

• Should be able to perform structural risk assessments of Offshore & Onshore structures
• Experience with fixed and floating offshore structures, such as Concrete Gravity Based, Steel Jacket Platforms, Floating Production Storage and Offloading Units, Semi-Submersible
• Management of engineering design
• Perform fitness for service engineering assessment based on existing conditions.
• Provide repair scope after structural assessments for continuous operations.
• Provide insights for advanced inspection technologies in civil/structural inspections.
• Should have knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance strategy
• Hand‑on experience in developing design calculation sheets for reinforced concrete and steel structures using applicable design codes and standards.
• Able to identify the anomaly from civil / structural inspection report (for offshore topside/underwater and onshore structure), perform risk assessment and provide repair recommendation using sound engineering judgement and best practices.
• Good interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the other teams
• Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Should be self‑motivated and focused on achieving business results
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills are essential
• Should be able to train and mentor new team member to enhance competency and capability in the team
