Qualifications

Remote-first role based in India; cross-functional engineering teams operate in Agile sprints.

Primary Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain production-grade web applications using Ruby on Rails; own features end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services; implement background jobs and scheduled processing.
• Author and maintain automated tests (RSpec) and follow TDD practices to ensure high code quality and low defect rates.
• Optimize database schema and queries for PostgreSQL; implement appropriate indexing and migrations to support scale.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies; collaborate with product and QA to deliver incremental value.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and assist with deployment, monitoring, and incident response to maintain SLAs and uptime.
