Position: Cloud Solution Architect

Reporting To: Manager

Work Location: Bangalore (Close to Hosur Road)

ESD solution architect is an information technology specialist responsible for the overall development and design of a robust, scalable, cost effective, and cloud compatible platform, engineering software applications, API’s and services. To function as a Subject Matter Expert for implementing and overseeing engineering software development strategy in ESD. As a software solution architect your job description entails mapping technology adoption plans, application design, management and monitoring. It also involves overseeing application architecture requirements and deployment in various infrastructures including cloud environments.

You will be actively using and sharing knowledge of modern software solution development techniques and technology to design applications and services that utilize latest recent technologies and architecture to produce services that meet ESD customers’ demands. You must possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (preferably computer engineering, information technology or computer science).

You must have at least 12 years of cognate working experience in architecting, designing and deploying distributed and well architected frameworks. You must have at least 6 years of experience for architecting on AWS. Excellent understanding of multi-cloud strategy technologies and modern computing trends.

JOB PURPOSE

• Architect and design engineering software solutions.
• Architecting, designing and development of distributed infrastructure and environment using latest infrastructures including cloud (i.e. AWS).
• Full automation of software solution, from development environment, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, building, lifting-shifting to cloud, deploying, deployment testing and matrix, alarms and monitoring.
• Participate with high energy and help software development and product teams perform software development life cycle activities for building cloud based applications.
• Designing and development of calculation based scientific server applications/services that serve many different clients like web, mobile devices, etc.
• Encourage solution teams to reuse maxing infrastructure, parts and pieces from solution.
• Being accountable to achieve exceptional results through – passion, team collaboration & help teams achieve rapid implementation.

Well versed with following technology/terminologies: SSO solutions, Open API, Restful API’s, Flask/Django like python framework, CI/CD, Green-Blue and canary deployments, Log processing and analytics processing pipeline (ETL), caching and networking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architecting a cloud based solutions.
• Designing highly scalable, secure, cost effective, maintainable and easy to develop applications that can be rapidly deployed in cloud environments.
• Strong technical leadership capabilities.
• Define and enforce best practices in DevOps across various projects hosted in different platforms.
• Frequently checks and monitors alarms, diagnoses symptoms, analyzes root causes, and employs preventative measures to avoid reoccurrence of similar issues by automating all the process efficiently.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Extensive programming and system architecture design experience.

Working knowledge of important AWS services (5 years) like:

• AWS Lambda, APIGateway, Cognito, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFromation, Route53, ELB, EC2, DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, S3, SQS, SES, SNS, Cloudfront, VPC, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, CodeCommit, Subnets, Route tables, Internet Gateways, VPC Endpoints, Network ACLs, VPC Peering connections, NAT Gateways, Security Groups, EFS, AWS Batch, AWS Fargate, Kinesis, Firehose, Redshift, EBS, ECR, ECS, EKS, Billing & Cost Management , AWS WAF, KMS

DevOps using Docker, AWS CDK, SAM CLI, Boto3, Jenkins.
