Job summary

Chevron Corporation's ENGINE in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated schedules for Specialty Operations Infrastructure assets. You will coordinate work order scheduling, validate readiness, and ensure alignment with maintenance strategies and field conditions.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Reliability teams to optimize plans, improve data quality, and support key metrics like schedule attainment and backlogs.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance scheduling, planning, or operations within industrial or infrastructure environments.
  • Experience reviewing maintenance plans across geographic areas and optimizing those plans for contracting efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of Chevron enterprise maintenance work management and scheduling concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using SAP PM and Prometheus Scheduler.
  • Experience supporting maintenance activities in energy infrastructure or asset-intensive operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated routine maintenance schedules for assets using standard scheduling systems like SAP PM and Prometheus.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance work order scheduling in alignment with strategies, asset criticality, and constraints.
  • Validate work readiness (scope, materials, labor, permits, and windows) to ensure schedules are executable.
  • Maintain schedule accuracy with ongoing updates reflecting scope changes and priorities.
  • Work with Maintenance, Operations, and Planning teams to align schedules with priorities.
  • Interface with ENGINE technical personnel and Reliability Engineers to integrate preventive and condition-based maintenance.
  • Support communication of weekly/daily schedules to execution teams to improve adherence.
  • Maintain schedules within Chevron enterprise systems and ensure data quality.
  • Ensure activities are sequenced, resourced, and linked to work orders; track key metrics like Schedule Attainment.

Key responsibilities
Routine Maintenance Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain integrated routine maintenance schedules for Specialty Operations Infrastructure assets using Chevron standard maintenance management and scheduling systems (e.g., SAP PM, Prometheus Scheduler), ensuring alignment with ENGINE scheduling standards.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance work order scheduling in alignment with approved maintenance strategies, asset criticality, and operational constraints.
  • Validate work readiness (scope definition, materials, labor availability, permits, and operational windows) to ensure schedules are executable.
  • Maintain schedule accuracy through ongoing updates to reflect changes in scope, priorities, or field conditions.
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work collaboratively with Specialty Operations Infrastructure Maintenance, Operations, and Planning Representatives to align routine maintenance schedules with operational priorities.
  • Interface with ENGINE technical personnel and Reliability Engineers to ensure preventive maintenance, integrity-related tasks, and condition-based maintenance are appropriately integrated into routine schedules.
  • Support effective communication of weekly and daily schedules to execution teams to improve schedule adherence and field execution efficiency.
  • Maintenance Systems and Data Management
  • Maintain routine maintenance schedules within Chevron enterprise systems (e.g., SAP PM, Prometheus) in accordance with established data quality and governance standards.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are correctly sequenced, resourced, and linked to approved work orders.
  • Track and support key scheduling and maintenance performance metrics, such as Schedul
Compliance, Schedule Attainment, and Work Order Readiness
  • Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement
  • Support achievement of key ENGINE and Specialty Operations Infrastructure metrics, high schedule compliance and minimal schedule break-ins.
  • Identify opportunities to improve routine maintenance scheduling effectiveness, reduce reactive work, and enhance long-term maintenance predictability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement including initiatives related to maintenance planning, scheduling standardization, and work management maturity.
Compliance and Standards
  • Ensure routine maintenance scheduling activities comply with Chevron maintenance work management standards, ENGINE governance expectations, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support standardized scheduling practices across Specialty Operations Infrastructure assets to promote consistency and reliability.
  • Ensure all required Chevron training, including maintenance systems, scheduling processes, and safety training, is completed and maintained up to date.
  • Support adoption and consistent use of Chevron standard maintenance scheduling practices within Specialty Operations Infrastructure teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical or any related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance scheduling, maintenance planning, or maintenance operations within an industrial or infrastructure environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using enterprise maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM) and scheduling tools (e.g., Prometheus Scheduler).
  • Experience supporting maintenance activities in operating environments such as energy infrastructure, industrial processing facilities, or similar asset-intensive operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Specialty Operations Infrastructure or similar centralized support organizations.
  • Familiarity with Chevron maintenance performance metrics, including Schedule Compliance, Schedule Attainment, and Work Order Ready Backlog.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability stakeholders.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
