Job summary

SkillShip Edutech is seeking a Robotics Instructor in Surat for a full-time, hybrid role. You will plan and deliver hands-on robotics and STEM classes for school and college students using age-appropriate tools and programming platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in robotics and practical STEM education.
• Hands-on programming using block-based/text-based languages.
• Experience in training, lesson planning, classroom management, and mentoring.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to diverse learners.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Education, or related field (or equivalent).
• Teaching/coaching/workshop experience with students is beneficial.
• Familiarity with educational robotics kits like Arduino/Lego is an advantage.

Role Description

The Robotics Instructor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Surat, with some flexibility for work from home. This role involves planning and delivering hands-on robotics and STEM classes for school and college-level students, using age-appropriate tools, kits, and programming platforms. The instructor designs lesson plans, projects, and assessments that promote problem-solving, creativity, and practical application of concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting interactive sessions, providing individual guidance, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment. The Robotics Instructor collaborates with the academic team to refine curriculum, participates in training and workshops, and supports events such as competitions, demos, and outreach programs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Robotics and practical STEM education, with experience applying concepts in classroom or lab settings.
• Hands-on Programming skills (e.g., block-based coding, Python, C/C++ or similar) relevant to educational robotics platforms.
• Proficiency in Training and instruction, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student mentoring.
• Effective Communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly to learners of different ages and backgrounds.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Prior teaching, coaching, or workshop facilitation experience with school or college students is highly beneficial.
• Ability to use educational technology tools and robotics kits (e.g., Arduino, Lego, microcontrollers, sensors) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, willingness to work in a hybrid setup from Surat, and a passion for inspiring students in STEM.
