Augle AI, a Pune-based deep-tech startup, invites applications for a Robotics Engineering Intern to join our on-site Pune team. You will work at the intersection of industrial automation, robotics, and software, gaining hands-on experience programming and deploying industrial robots while contributing to simulation, digital twins, and autonomous systems.

You will collaborate with our vision and AI teams and may travel to customer sites for installation, testing, and deployment, gaining exposure

Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, and optimize multi-axis industrial robots such as KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, and Yaskawa for manufacturing and automation applications.
  • Build and work with digital twins and simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Omniverse and Gazebo.
  • Develop and maintain robotics software and control pipelines.
  • Implement and test trajectory planning, collision avoidance, kinematics, and dynamics in simulation before physical deployment.
  • Integrate and calibrate robot controllers, end-effectors, sensors, safety systems, and machine vision systems.
  • Collaborate with computer vision and AI teams to integrate perception, path planning, and closed-loop control with physical robots.
  • Support robot installation, commissioning, testing, and on-site deployment at customer locations.
  • Assist with robot optimization for speed, accuracy, and repeatability, as well as client handover and training.

Robotics Engineering Intern

to join our Pune team on an on-site basis. In this role, you will work at the intersection of industrial automation, robotics, and software, gaining hands-on experience in programming and deploying industrial robots while contributing to simulation, digital twins, and autonomous robotics systems. You will collaborate with our vision and AI teams and may also get opportunities to travel to customer sites for installation, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with or hands-on project experience in programmingindustrial robotssuch as KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, or Yaskawa is preferred.
  • Experience with

ROS / ROS 2, including concepts such as navigation, MoveIt, TF, and custom nodes.

  • Practical experience with robotics simulation platforms such as

NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Omniverse or Gazebo.

  • Strong programming skills in

Python and/or C++, preferably in a Linux/Ubuntu environment.

  • Basic understanding ofrobot kinematics, dynamics, trajectory planning, and coordinate transformations.
  • Understanding ofelectrical wiring, industrial I/O, sensors, calibration, and industrial communication protocolsis a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to work hands-on with bothsoftware and physical robotic systems.
  • Candidates with relevantrobotics projects, internships, academic work, or hands-on lab experiencewill be preferred.
  • Workdays:Monday to Saturday
  • Working Hours:10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Travel:Regular visits to client locations, with varying on-site durations to meet project needs
