Job Description:
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering solution architectures for key global initiatives and also be an expert on Azure Cloud and its various offerings like IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
2. Technically creative and open-minded.
3. Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts.
4. Evangelize re-use through implementation of shared assets.
5. Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
6. Proactively provide guidance on engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices.
7. Guide engineering staff and review as-built configurations during the construction phase.
8. Provide insight and direction on roles and responsibilities required for solution operations.
9. Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the full lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

1. BE/MCA.
2. Minimum of 10+ years overall IT industry experience.
3. Minimum of 2+ years in the discipline of Solution Architect role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
4. Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities.
5. Experience with any of the following: O365, Azure, Azure Stack, Azure AD.
6. Experience with claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC.
7. Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
8. Experience building and supporting mission-critical technology components with DR capabilities.
9. Experience with multi-tier system and service design and development for large enterprises.
10. Extensive, real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions and defining solution architectures and reference architectures with a focus on cloud technologies.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.
2. Experience with relational, graph, and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, HD Insights, Hadoop, Cloudera, MongoDB, MySQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, Couchbase.
3. Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries, and tools.
4. Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C++, etc.
5. Experience with data ingestion technologies such as Aspera, MoveIT, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Pentaho, Alteryx.
6. Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, D3, Scrapinghub.
7. Experience with analytics tools including SPSS.
8. Experience with machine learning tools such as Azure ML, IBM, AWS, etc.
9. Experience in distilling complex technical challenges to actionable decisions for stakeholders and guiding project teams by building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.
10. Experience coordinating the intersection of complex system dependencies and interactions.
11. Experience in solution delivery using common methodologies especially SAFe Agile but also Waterfall, Iterative, etc.
12. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry trends and standards.

Technical Requirements:
Exposure to infrastructure and application security technologies and approaches. Familiarity with requirements gathering techniques.

Certification Requirements (at least one):
Microsoft, TOGAF, etc.

Qualifications:
BE/MCA or Equivalent.
