Job summary

Amazon Bangalore-based Facilities Manager role overseeing Reliability Maintenance Engineering for South & Central regions. Responsible for overall facilities maintenance, equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance programs, and vendor management. Leads a team of technicians and third-party providers, ensuring safety and 5S standards.

The candidate will coordinate with Operations and Procurement, supporting installation of new equipment and optimization of maintenance processes across the site.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and vendor management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building and facilities maintenance focusing on reliability, performance and cost.
• Lead maintenance of equipment including trolleys, conveyors, work stations and labeling machines.
• Develop preventive maintenance routines for equipment.
• Establish and manage vendor AMCs with service levels.
• Coordinate material purchasing with Procurement.
• Identify spare parts and manage stock levels.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and availability.
• Resolve day-to-day equipment issues with Operations and prioritize tasks.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and third-party service providers.
• Ensure safe working conditions following Amazon safety policies.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping on site.
• Support engineering during installation of new equipment.

This RME manager will be leading the Reliability Maintenance Engineering currently in South & Central. At Amazon we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all all miles REM operations facilities planning. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost, etc.)
• Responsible for equipment maintenance (Trolleys, Conveyors, work stations, Labeling Machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems etc.) leading a team of 3rd party technicians
• Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance Routines on equipment.
• Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment
• Follow up required material purchasing with the Procurement Team
• Develop and implement a spare part identification and maintaining stock levels
• Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability
• Manage day to day issues on equipment with the Operations teams, defining Priorities with Operation, and organize the work with his team
• Responsible to manage a team of Maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service provider. Define goals, priorities, organized staff planning, staff training to ensure service levels.
• Responsible to keep people working in a safe environment, applying the Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team to improve safety on site.
• Responsible for building housekeeping to keep the site within 5S standards
• Support the Engineering team for installation of new equipment

Basic Qualifications

• 9+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls , industrial electronics
