Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee Facility & Admin activities in Bengaluru. The role covers electrical, mechanical, electronics, instrumentation, and control systems, with a focus on preventive maintenance and timely corrective actions across conveyors and related equipment.

The position involves coordinating with vendors, supervising agency staff on shift, and ensuring safe, production-friendly operations through routine checks and timely reporting of issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communications/Instrumentation and Controls.
• 1+ years of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly technical checks as per the PPM schedule.
• Attend TT calls for corrective maintenance, service and repair works.
• Coordinate with vendors for systems under warranty/AMC.
• Monitor energy consumption and DG maintenance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution, lighting, transformers, and wiring.
• Work with relay logic, ladder diagrams, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, sensors, drives, and encoders.
• Provide daily reports on TT closures, open cases, and RCA.
• Handle soft services like pest control, housekeeping, and waste disposal.
• Manage agency staff and overall shift.

Taking care of overall Facility & Admin activities.

• DG maintenance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical
• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and material.
• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders 6.
• Dedicated to supporting production by working in a safe, customer focused manner.
• Minor refurbishment and upgrade works for building finishes, fixtures, fittings and equipment, fixed furniture and OPS equipment like Trolley, Cages, Carts
• Fire Alarm & Fire extinguishers regular checks.
• Maintenance, oiling, greasing of carts, trolleys, pump, rolling shutters.
• Attending regular Electrical works
• Height work, hot work permit to issue.
• Minor Civil & Plumbing Corrective maintenance calls.
• Provide daily reports on TT closures & open cases & RCA.
• Tools inventory update.
• PPM schedule maintenance.
• Taking care of Soft services activities i.e. Pest control, Housekeeping, Scrap & Garbage disposal.

Handling agency staff & overall shift.

• 1+ years of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience
