Job summary

EY is seeking a Risk Consulting – SQL & ETL Developer (Staff) to join its Global Delivery Services in India. The role focuses on building and optimizing SQL queries, ETL pipelines, and data integration across enterprise platforms, supporting data warehousing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of hands-on SQL development and ETL experience, exposure to multiple ETL tools, and strong problem-solving abilities within a banking/financial services context.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in complex joins, window functions, CTEs and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines using enterprise tools (ADF, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, DataStage).
• Hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines, incremental loads, batch processing, and data integration workflows.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas, F&L tables, SCD, CDC).
• Experience with large-scale relational and analytical databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Teradata).
• Ability to translate business requirements into efficient ETL solutions; knowledge of Python for automation is a plus.

• Experience investigating and resolving data issues using SQL and ETL troubleshooting techniques.
• Exposure to Python for automation, scripting, or data processing is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Agile ways of working.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services domain is preferred.
