Job summary

EY is seeking a team-oriented QA Tester with 3–5 years of ETL testing experience. You will focus on ETL validation, data reconciliation, and functional testing, with exposure to test automation using tools like Selenium, Playwright or Python.

You will work in an Agile setup within Banking/Financial Services domain, performing data-driven validation and ensuring end-to-end data integrity across data pipelines. Strong SQL skills are essential for complex validation queries.

Qualifications

• + 3–5 years of ETL testing experience with hands-on SQL expertise.
• + Strong experience in ETL testing including source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, migration testing, data transformation testing, and report validation.
• + Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation, analysis and troubleshooting.
• + Ability to interpret business requirements and transformation logic to design effective test scenarios.
• + Experience in file validation, database testing and end-to-end data flow verification.
• + Capable of creating detailed test cases and executing functional and data-focused tests.
• + Experience in web and client application testing and working knowledge of automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test scenarios for ETL processes and data validations.
• Validate source-to-target mappings, data migration and transformation logic.
• Perform data reconciliation and report validation across data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Selenium or Playwright where applicable.
• Create and maintain test cases, defect reports and traceability.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Test web and client applications and ensure end-to-end data integrity.

We are looking for a team player who brings a strong testing mindset with a focus on ETL, Database, Data Validation, and Functional Testing, along with exposure to test automation.

• Has 3 to 5 years of experience in ETL testing , with hand-on SQL expertise, and Functional Testing.
• Strong experience in ETL testing, source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, migration testing, data transformation testing, and report validation.
• Highly Proficient in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Able to interpret business requirements, mapping documents, and transformation logic to design effective test scenarios and validations.
• Experienced in file validation, database testing, and end-to-end data flow verification.
• Skilled in creating detailed test cases and executing functional and data-focused test scenarios.
• Has experience in web and client application testing.
• Working knowledge of at least one automation tool such as Selenium, Playwright, Python.
• Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Octane.
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing methodologies, and defect lifecycle management.
• Must have hands-on experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services domain is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
