Job summary

Premium Aerotec in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Service Bulletin Designer to interpret design definitions for Airframe Structures, collect and synthesize source documents, and perform technical analysis for MOD solutions.

You will author SBs in SAMM-DACAS, review Airbus-related bulletins, and coordinate data for SB embodiment on aircraft, with strong English skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• 6–10 years' experience as a Service Bulletin Designer for aerospace projects.
• Airbus SB Proofreader certification is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of airframe structures: Hydro-Meca, Cabin, Cargo.
• Proficient in ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Simplified Technical English (STE).
• Experience with Airbus toolset for authoring and configuration lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze design definitions and installation principles for Airframe Structures.
• Collect and synthesize source documents (TRS/MAS, design drawings, SB files, 3D data).
• Perform technical analysis: evaluate Pre-MOD vs Post-MOD solutions; define SB configuration.
• Develop LOC; identify Long Lead Items, wiring bundles, placard sets.
• Coordinate data procurement (Weight Balance, Electrical Load Data, SB tests, OM manuals).
• Author Service Bulletins within SAMM-DACAS; define tasks and install/remove procedures.
• Analyze 3D source files to create mock-ups and technical illustrations (Tec-Draw).
• Proofread Service Bulletins for Airbus standards; ensure compliance.
• Review supplier Service Bulletins for adherence to quality standards.
• Answer customer queries via Tech-Request; provide on-site SB validation support.
• Interface with Engineering, Material Supply, and Tech Data throughout lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze the design definitions and installation principles related to Airframe Structures, specifically for Hydro-Meca, Cabin and Cargo systems
• Collect and synthesize source documents, including TRS/MAS, Design Drawings, SB preparation files, and 3D Design datasets
• Perform Technical analysis:
  • Evaluate Pre-MOD vs. Post-MOD solutions
  • Define SB Configuration for the given MSN(s) applicable
  • Determine aircraft access requirements
  • Calculate man-hour estimates for SB embodiment
• Develop the List of Components (LOC), identifying Long Lead Items (LLI), wiring bundles and placard set(s)
• Coordinate the procurement of essential data, including Weight Balance, Electrical Load Data, SB Test and impacts on Operational Maintenance manuals
• Author Service Bulletins within SAMM-DACAS, defining accomplishment tasks and detailed installation/removal procedures
• Analyze 3D source files to develop mock-ups and generate technical illustrations using Tec-Draw tool
• Proofread Service Bulletins from internal production centers to ensure full compliance with Airbus standards
• Review and approve supplier-generated Service Bulletins to verify adherence to Airbus quality and safety standards
• Answer to customer queries through Tech-Request
• Provide on-site assistance to SB validation/embodiment on in-service or production aircraft
• Maintain seamless interfaces with Engineering, Material Supply and Tech Data departments throughout the SB lifecycle.

Qualification Skills

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
• Experience: 6 to 10 years as Service Bulletin Designer for Aerospace projects
• Airbus certified Proofreader for Service Bulletin-Production Release is highly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of airframe structures, including Hydro-Meca, Cabin and Cargo configurations
• Expert ability to interpret complex 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Proficient in ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D specifications, with a firm command of Simplified Technical English (STE)
• Working experience on Airbus Toolset:
  • Authoring: SAMM-DACAS, Arbortext Editor, CIRCE, GIDOCA and GILDA
  • Configuration Lifecycle: APS, VPM and PASS SSCI
  • Digital Mock-Up (DMU): 3D-JUMMP and NOVODESK
• Knowledge of aircraft configuration management and product structure
• Proven project management capabilities, ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met
• Skilled in mechanical SB illustration tools; knowledgeable in AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) and IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalog) authoring is an advantage
• Highly proactive with strong organizational and assertive communication skills
• Experienced team player capable of interfacing with cross-functional engineering and production departments
• Full professional proficiency in English.
