Job summary

The House of Rare in Bengaluru is seeking a Merchandise & Inventory Planning professional to develop plans, forecasts and stock strategies for MBO counters, aligning product mix with demand.

You will analyze sales trends, optimize stock allocation, and coordinate with buying and store teams to drive profitability through efficient replenishment and promotions. Experience in retail planning and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in retail planning or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Excel and planning software.

Merchandise & Inventory Planning

• Develop and execute merchandise plans, sales forecasts, and inventory strategies for MBO counters.
• Analyze historical sales trends, market demand, and store-specific performance to optimize stock allocation.
• Work closely with the buying team to ensure the right product mix, stock levels, and replenishment strategies.

Sales & Performance Analysis

• Monitor sell-through rates, stock turnover, and gross margin to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance reports with actionable insights for the leadership team.
• Analyze category and SKU-level performance to enhance assortment planning.

Store & Supply Chain Coordination

• Partner with store teams to understand customer preferences and regional sales trends.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability and distribution.
• Minimize stockouts and excess inventory by optimizing store-level replenishment.

Pricing & Promotions Management

• Assist in markdown planning and promotional strategies to drive sales without compromising profitability.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to align inventory with campaign planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
