Overview
- Design and develop non-viral nucleic acid delivery systems, with a focus on platforms for next-generation RNA therapeutics.
- Assist in nanoparticle characterization techniques like DLS, NTA, TEM and RiboGreen/qPCR-style Encapsulation Assays.
- Assist in primary cell culture, including stem cell culture, cell-based functional assays, transfection through lipid or polymer-based systems, imaging such as immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, and involvement in production of cell-derived products.
- Develop/optimize microfluidic based mixing methodologies for nucleic acid encapsulation.
- Develop and optimize protocols for various cell and molecular biology studies, such as RNA preparation and RT-PCR.
- Protein purification, characterization and analysis by ELISA, SDS-PAGE, western blot, and other biochemical techniques.
- Perform animal experiments, if required.
- Generate data for company newsletter, website, social media, printed journals, etc.
- Analyze data and prepare reports.
- Prepare SOPs for various experimental procedures.
- Prepare data for internal and external presentations, communications and publications.
- Participate in team meetings and scientific discussions.
Qualifications
PhD with two years of postdoctoral experience in the fields of Drug Delivery, Nanobiotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nucleic acid delivery, nanoparticle synthesis/characterization, mammalian cell culture, cell-based bio-assays, quantitative RT-PCR, and ELISA, are mandatory requirements for this role.
