Job summary

Lupin in Pune, MH, India, is seeking a Research Scientist for Biotech R&D to lead biosimilarity projects and LC-MS based characterization. The role involves planning experiments, data interpretation, and contributing to dossier-ready reports for CMC/RA, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring quality compliance.

The candidate will train others in advanced LC-MS applications, coordinate method development and qualification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance in-house

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in biotechnology/biopharmaceutics required.
• Experience with LC-MS for biosimilarity studies highly preferred.
• Ability to plan experiments and interpret complex data.

Responsibilities

• Characterize products using LC/MS for biosimilarity.
• Train team on advanced LC-MS techniques and SOPs.
• Plan and design experiments.
• Draft/review reports for CMC/RA dossiers and biosimilarity assessments.
• Mentor team members on LC-MS workflows and data interpretation.
• Support cross-functional analyses like impurity characterization.
• Develop and qualify methods and generate reports.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Product characterization using LC/MS for biosimilarity studies.
• Training related to advanced LC-MS applications and DQA SOPs.
• Planning of experiments.
• Drafting and/or review reports and presentations on experimental data and scientific outcomes for CMC / RA for dossier submission, method qualification, assessing biosimilarity etc.
• Guiding and mentoring team members Sample preparation, LC-MS workflows and data interpretation.
• Support cross-functional analysis such as impurity characterization.
• Method Development, Qualification and report preparation.
• Procurement related to new instruments. To assess new technologies to enhance in-house scientific and technological capabilities.
• Comply to quality aspects (CAPA, CC, Deviation).
• Comply to safety norms and attend safety training.
• To ensure compliance to all KAVACH and EHS Policies.
• Any responsibility advised by the superior from time to time.

Work Experience

5 to 10 years.
