Job description

Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur is looking for passionate, research-oriented academicians to join its growing academic and research ecosystem across all disciplines.

We are seeking faculty members who can contribute beyond classroom teaching through high-quality research, publications, funded projects, patents, consultancy, industry collaboration, innovation, Ph.D. supervision and student research mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and pursue a strong, independent research agenda in the relevant discipline.
• Publish high-quality research papers in reputed Scopus / Web of Science / UGC-recognized / ABDC or other discipline-relevant journals.
• Develop and submit research proposals to ANRF, UGC, DST, DBT, ICSSR, AICTE, MeitY, ICMR, government agencies, industry and other funding organizations.
• Secure externally funded research projects and effectively manage sanctioned projects.
• Develop patents, copyrights, intellectual property and technology/knowledge-based innovations.
• Undertake industry-sponsored research, consultancy and applied research projects.
• Build national and international research collaborations.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops and research networks.
• Mentor UG, PG and Ph.D. students in research, dissertations, publications and innovation projects.
• Support student and faculty research teams and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Contribute to the establishment of Research Centres, Centres of Excellence, laboratories and research clusters.
• Integrate contemporary research and industry developments into classroom teaching.
• Contribute to academic quality, accreditation, rankings and institutional research initiatives.
• Maintain updated research profiles on Google Scholar, Scopus, ORCID, Web of Science and other relevant platforms.
• Promote research ethics, academic integrity and responsible use of AI in research.
• Contribute to the overall research visibility and reputation of VGU.
