Job summary

Limagrain invites qualified candidates for a Research Officer role in Purnea, Bihar, to lead field trials in Maize and Rice within the Research & Development – Field Research Team. The position requires planning, execution, data collection, and collaboration with Breeding, Testing, Agronomy, and Mechanization units.

The role demands travel, outdoor field work, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and GEP standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field research experience in agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field trials as per research protocols.
• Coordinate trial sites, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and crop maintenance.
• Monitor crop growth, pests, diseases, and field conditions.
• Collect and maintain accurate trial data and observations.
• Support trial evaluation, reporting, and field research activities.
• Coordinate with Breeding, Testing, Agronomy, and Mechanization teams.
• Manage trial materials, seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, equipment, and manpower.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, company, and GEP standards.
• Passion for agricultural research and field-based work.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel extensively to trial locations.
• Strong trial management and field observation skills.
• Ability to identify field challenges and provide practical solutions.

we are looking for Research officer with 5+ Years of experience at Purnea, Bihar location Join our Research & Development – Field Research Team and contribute to the planning, execution, and management of agricultural research trials in Maize and Rice. The role involves working closely with Breeding, Testing, Agronomy, Mechanization teams, farmers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely field trial execution.

Main Goal

To successfully plan, coordinate, execute, evaluate, and report research testing activities while ensuring accurate data collection, quality trial execution, and compliance with company standards and Good Experimental Practice (GEP).
