Responsibilities
- Conduct research and policy analysis on international climate negotiations, including the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement processes.
- Support projects related to India-s national climate policy, governance mechanisms, and institutional frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of policy briefs, working papers, and publications.
- Engage with stakeholders including government agencies, think tanks, and academic institutions.
- Assist in organizing workshops, consultations, and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across TERI and external partners.
- Stay updated on global climate policy developments and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Master-s degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Climate Policy- Public Policy- Economics- Science & Technology Policy- Environmental Law / Regulation- Management- Social Sciences- International Relations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Demonstrated aptitude for interdisciplinary research and policy analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (or currently pursuing).
- Prior experience (up to 4 years) in climate policy research- government engagement- or international negotiations.
- Familiarity with climate governance structures- NDCs- and market/non-market mechanisms under the Paris Agreement.
- Experience in drafting policy documents or contributing to academic publications.
