Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

• - Conduct laboratory-based research and experiments in accordance with the objectives of the DBT-funded project.
• - Perform microbiological studies, including microbial isolation, cultivation, maintenance, characterization, and other relevant laboratory investigations.
• - Undertake analytical studies and sample analysis using instruments such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• - Perform basic molecular biology techniques relevant to the project requirements.
• - Collect, organize, analyse, and interpret experimental data, and prepare technical reports and research documentation.
• - Maintain laboratory records, experimental protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• - Ensure proper handling of laboratory equipment, chemicals, microbial cultures, and biological samples in accordance with laboratory safety protocols.
• - Assist in troubleshooting experimental procedures and optimizing laboratory protocols, as required.
• - Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other project-related deliverables.
• - Coordinate with project team members and support the timely completion of project activities and milestones.
• - Undertake any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).
