Qualifications

• B.Tech from IIT, NIT or BITS (preferably CS/EE/IE) or MBA/PGDBM from premier institutes like IIMs.
• Experience with quantum computing, cyber security, ML/AI models and tools is valued.
• Strong report writing and research methodology expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Extensive experience with data gathering from varied sources and data preprocessing.

Job description

The candidate will assist the faculty/academic director/senior associate director in their ongoing research work which includes development of analytical models, solution algorithms and designing of computational experiments. The position is best suited for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a PhD down the line.

Job Outline

• Discuss with the project mentor and understand the nature of the research to be carried out.
• Articulate hypotheses of the research to be undertaken
• Design research studies that meet the rigor of academic standards.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports of the project status.
• Apply a range of research techniques to gather relevant information, including document analysis, surveys, case studies and interviews as per the need of the project.
• Gather information directly or liaise with and direct field interviewers to gather information.
• Design and develop data science and business analytics models for problem solving.

Knowledge / Education

B Tech from IIT, NIT or BITS (preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering) or MBA/ PGDBM from premier institutions like IIMs. Or Other

Specific Skills

• Experience working with Quantum Computing, cyber security, machine learning and AI models, concepts, and tools.
• Experience with noisy and/or unstructured textual and structured data
• Knowledge of various text mining algorithms and their use‑cases as well as text pre‑processing and normalization techniques
• Relevant Research Methodology expertise with report writing.
• Research experience in the relevant field including working on research/industry projects with research paper publication.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English, including excellent listening skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize a broad range of ideas into cogent communications. Excellent writing, analysis and presentation skills.
• Extreme attention to detail, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, excellent working knowledge of database, software’s, programming knowledge (Python, R, Tableau etc.) and management, strong math and analytical skills, ability to create written documents with little or no oversight.
• Advanced knowledge and use of statistical tools, Microsoft Excel, Word with PowerPoint preferred. Internet and email savvy. Must be technology oriented.
