Qualifications

• PhD required in a quantitative field related to finance or physics.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head our Quantum Finance initiatives. You will act as the critical bridge between deep domain expertise in financial mathematics, quantitative modeling, and quantum algorithm design. In this role, you will build and lead a world-class team of researchers, partnering with business units to identify high-value computational challenges where provable quantum advantage can be realized.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the corporate research agenda in quantum computing applied to financial services, such as stochastic risk analysis, asset allocation, and algorithmic trading.
• Team Building & Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of quantitative researchers, quantum theorists, and software engineers.
• Algorithm Development & Testing: Oversee the development of novel quantum algorithms using industry-standard frameworks and collaborate with quantum hardware partners to execute pilots.
• Business Integration: Partner with lines of business to formalize complex financial problems and transition quantum research into scalable commercial capabilities.
• Ecosystem Engagement: Shape external partnerships with universities, industry consortia, and regulatory bodies while serving as a scientific advisor to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or a highly related discipline.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in quantitative research, computational finance, or applied quantum computing, including a proven track record of cross‑functional leadership.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of quantum information science, optimization, and quantum programming frameworks
• Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of financial modeling, numerical methods, stochastic calculus, and high-performance computing (HPC).
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate highly technical scientific concepts into strategic business initiatives for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
