Job summary

PolyCycl Private Limited is seeking a laboratory professional to perform bench-scale experiments and analyze samples according to SOPs and DoE-based plans. You will operate ICP-MS/ICP-OES, HT-GC, Karl Fischer titration, and other titration techniques, ensuring accurate data and traceable records.

The role supports method development and process optimization, with emphasis on safety and proper documentation of observations and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Chemistry or Petroleum with relevant lab experience.
• Masters in Chemistry with lab RD exposure (2–5 years)
• Experience handling wet chemistry and sample processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench-scale laboratory experiments following SOPs and DoE plans.
• Prepare and analyze samples per standardized procedures, including titration methods.
• Operate and support instruments such as ICP-MS, ICP-OES, HT-GC, and related titration equipment.
• Assist in method development, validation and troubleshooting in the lab.
• Support data compilation and preliminary analysis for process optimization.
• Maintain accurate, traceable records of experiments and results.
• Ensure compliance with safety, waste management, and SOPs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Execute bench-scale laboratory experiments as per SOPs and DoE-based plans.


• Prepare and analyze samples following standardized procedures, including derivatization and titration methods.


• Operate and support laboratory analytical instruments such as: Nitrogen and Chlorine Analyzer (benchtop) ICP-MS / ICP-OES HT-GC Karl Fischer Titrators and other titration techniques (argentometric, redox, acid-base) Muffle Furnace D86 distillation apparatus Laboratory centrifuges


• Assist in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting.


• Support experimental setup involving process-control devices and bench-scale assemblies.


• Maintain accurate, traceable records of experimental conditions, observations, and results.


• Support data compilation, visualization, and preliminary analysis for process optimization.


• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment, including autotitrators, chromatography systems, and high-temperature experimental assemblies.


• Assist in preparation, review, and continuous improvement of SOPs, MSDS, and HAZOP documentation.


• Follow laboratory safety, chemical handling, and waste-management protocols rigorously.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Chemistry / Petroleum) with 3 - 6 Years of experience or M.Sc. Chemistry with 2 - 5 years experience in chemical or oil and gas laboratories/R&d.


• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, wet chemistry, and sample handling.


• Safety-conscious and disciplined in routine lab work.
