Job summary

Invesco is seeking a Portfolio Analytics professional to produce, interpret, and validate portfolio analytics and performance attribution across multiple assets and regions. Your Team

The Portfolio Analytics team produces, interprets, and delivers performance attribution and portfolio analytics across Invesco’s global product range. The team supports investment evaluation, business decision-making, client reporting, and continuous improvement through four strategic pillars:

  • Investment Support: Deliver high-quality, timely, and consistent analysis to Investment teams across all regions and products, enabling performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Business Enablement: Provide strategic support to teams driving growth and expansion across Invesco’s global distribution channels.
  • Scalable Capability: Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes and upgrading technology and infrastructure across regions and functions.

Your Role

As a key member of the Portfolio Analytics team, you will produce and interpret portfolio analytics and performance attribution across multiple asset classes and regions. You will acquire, validate, and consolidate portfolio, benchmark, and analytical data; investigate data and reporting exceptions; and communicate findings clearly to investment teams and other stakeholders. Success in this role requires analytical judgment, attention to detail, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a global environment.

The Experience You Bring
  • Working knowledge of portfolio analytics with a focus on performance evaluation assessment across diverse asset classes.
  • Ability to interpret portfolio performance, including return attribution, and benchmark comparisons, delivering actionable insights to Investment teams.
  • Experienced in extracting, validating, and managing portfolio data to produce accurate and timely reports for internal stakeholders and clients, while effectively addressing data and reporting issues.

Exposure to using performance and risk analytics tools to monitor portfolio risk exposures, conduct stress testing, and perform scenario analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and interpret performance attribution, contribution, benchmark, and portfolio analytics.
  • Validate portfolio, benchmark, classification, and analytical data before reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve performance, attribution, benchmark, and data-quality exceptions.
  • Prepare accurate, timely reporting for investment teams, senior management, client reporting, third-party databases, and regulatory filings.
  • Explain analytical results and data issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support process improvement, automation, control enhancement, and documentation.
  • Partner with investment, technology, data, operations, risk, and distribution teams across regions.
  • Maintain clear process documentation, analytical controls, and evidence supporting reported results.
  • Participate in the testing and implementation of data, system, methodology, and reporting changes.
Work Experience / Knowledge
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment management, portfolio analytics, performance measurement, investment operations, financial data analysis, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement or Attribution is preferred.
  • Prepare, interpret, and investigate discrepancies in attribution and contribution reports used for performance analysis.
  • General understanding of the investment management industry including various security types.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with colleagues across functions, regions, and levels are required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work effectively with large and complex data sets
  • Preferred: Knowledge of investment analytics/attribution applications (such as FactSet, Aladdin, Bloomberg, etc.)

Academic Requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.

Progress toward, or completion of, the CFA or CIPM designation is preferred
