Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Repair and Testing Technician to perform testing of defective products, identify needed repairs, and ensure quality control to meet commercial standards and customer needs.

This role covers motherboard, add-on card and backplane repair and test, ECO rework and BIOS upgrades, and precise logging of findings in the RMA database while following established procedures in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electronic or electrical engineering preferred.
• Fundamental PC/server operations understanding.
• Proficient in Windows and/or Linux for diagnostics.
• Skilled use of diagnostic hand tools for hardware evaluation.
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough visual inspections prior to testing.
• Conduct tests to identify defective components and log findings in the RMA DB.
• Execute ECO upgrades when required to implement changes.
• Follow supervisor instructions and testing procedures for consistency.
• Adhere to all quality and safety policies in a fast-paced production environment.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Supermicro is looking for a Repair and Testing Technician to perform testing of defective products, identify needed repairs, and ensure quality control to commercial standards and customer needs. This position will be responsible for motherboard repair and test, add on card repair and test, backplane repair and test as well as ECO rework and BIOS upgrade. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform thorough visual inspections of products prior to testing to ensure readiness and compliance with quality protocols
• Conduct comprehensive tests to identify defective components or areas, accurately logging all findings within the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) repair database.
• Execute Engineering Change Order (ECO) upgrades precisely as required to implement design or process modifications.
• Adhere strictly to supervisor's instructions and established testing procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
• Comply with standardized testing procedures and schedules to consistently meet daily production demands and quality targets.
• Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy within a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
• Strictly follow all company and production department policies and procedures to ensure operational integrity and safety.
• Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.

Qualifications

• A diploma in electronic or electrical engineering is preferred; however, candidates possessing a related technical certificate will also be given strong consideration.
• Possess a fundamental understanding of Personal Computer (PC), system, and server operations, including proficient basic troubleshooting skills.
• Be proficient in operating systems, specifically Windows and/or Linux, for system diagnostics and repair.
• Demonstrate skilled use of diagnostic hand tools for effective hardware and system evaluation.
• Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously while consistently meeting project deadlines.
• Exhibit a proactive and collaborative team-oriented mindset, with a constructive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
• Demonstrate unwavering reliability, accountability, and a strong sense of professional responsibility in all aspects of work.

Salary Range

RM2,700 ~ RM3,800 monthly
