Job summary

NOV Mumbai Workshop seeks an Electrical Technician to support repair, maintenance, diagnostics and overhaul of drilling and oilfield equipment.

You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot faults, perform repairs and support routine maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include assembling and disassembling equipment, pre-testing, verifying components, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–10 years in Oil & Gas Industry, preferably NOV Drilling Equipment.
• Familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic components, NOV equipment, AC/DC Motors, and electrical circuits.
• Physical fitness for a hands-on workshop setting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, high discipline, ability to work independently, and a strong focus on safety.
• Knowledge on Microsoft office suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical equipment and interpret technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Repair and rebuild NOV equipment at the NOV- Mumbai Workshop and any assigned job as directed by the management.
• Perform assembly and disassembly of Drilling equipment
• Conduct pre-testing and assist with final testing of equipment
• Inspect components for wear, damage, and compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all NOV policies, procedures, and health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Complete required documentation and inspection records
• Perform Related duties as assigned
