Job summary

U.S. Bancorp India is seeking a seasoned Reliability Engineer to support production applications and drive automation, reducing incidents and downtime while improving availability, latency, and performance.

You will collaborate with business users, development teams, and system administrators to ensure systems meet business needs, with a focus on proactive monitoring and cost-effective reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of experience in reliability engineering.
• Experience in production systems and proactive monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate reliability studies for engineering designs.
• Analyze design, materials, processes, and costs for reliability.
• Design or test methods and SPC procedures to achieve reliability.
• Conduct risk analyses on new designs and processes.
• Test failures and propose design changes to improve system reliability.

As a Reliability Engineer, your role will be a combination of supporting production applications and proactively looking for ways to automate your discoveries, eliminate incidents from recurring and/or reduce the time it takes to get our customers back up and running. In addition, you’ll focus on improving the following for our applications: availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and effective proactive monitoring. The reliability engineer interfaces with business users, development teams and system administrators to ensure systems perform to meet their business needs and specifications.

• include: Developing, coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle.
• and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production.
• design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
• risk analysis studies of new designs and processes.
• testing and analysis on failures, proposing changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of ten years of experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience using tools that measure and report on team performance
• Demonstrated problem-solving, project management, and teamwork/collaboration skills
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Strong budgeting and time management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communicator both verbally and written
• Financial Services industry experience a plus
