Job summary

Accenture in India seeks a Release Train Engineer to facilitate Agile Release Train events, coordinate stakeholders, and drive improvements across telecom platforms. You will govern end-to-end release lifecycles, manage cross-functional dependencies, and ensure Go/No-Go decisions with robust risk mitigation.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in agile release management and a strong grasp of BSS/OSS domains, with collaboration across business, operations, testing, and vendor teams

Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the end-to-end release lifecycle across telecom applications and platforms, from scope intake, planning, build readiness, testing, deployment, and Early Life Support (ELS).
  • Develop and maintain integrated release plans across multiple telecom domains, including BSS/OSS platforms, Managed Services (Oracle COTS, TIL, CMT), non-managed services, network-facing systems, and third-party vendor dependencies.
  • Manage cross-application, cross-vendor, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure seamless delivery of telecom business and technology releases.
  • Assess release impacts across customer journeys, billing, charging, CRM, order management, provisioning, assurance, and downstream operational systems.
  • Establish and enforce release governance, quality controls, and stage-gate criteria, ensuring all release readiness requirements are met before deployment.
  • Monitor release progress, delivery milestones, and overall release health through RAG reporting, proactively identifying risks and execution challenges.
  • Lead RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) management, driving resolution and mitigation across internal delivery teams, managed service providers, and external suppliers.
  • Coordinate with business, operations, testing, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure successful release planning, deployment readiness, and production stability.
  • Drive release reviews, Go/No-Go decision-making processes, deployment governance, and stakeholder communications.
  • Escalate critical delivery risks, deployment issues, service impacts, and mitigation plans to programme leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Oversee production deployments and hypercare support, ensuring smooth transition into Early Life Support and achievement of service-level commitments.
  • Promote continuous improvement of release management processes, deployment automation, governance frameworks, and operational excellence across telecom transformation programmes.
  • Lead and govern complex telecom releases by coordinating multiple delivery teams, vendors, OSS/BSS platforms, and business stakeholders to ensure predictable, high-quality, and low-risk deployments that support critical customer, operational, and business outcomes.
