Job summary

Revenue Technology Services (RTS) is seeking a Mid-Level Release Engineer to manage the deployment and release of modern web applications. You will oversee CI/CD pipelines, automate builds for .NET and Angular, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliability across development, staging, and production environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, scripting, and database deployments (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong experience deploying .NET, Angular, PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production environments.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps CI/CD platform.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute releases for applications built with .NET, ASP.NET, Angular, SQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Manage multi-environment deployments (development, staging, production) for smooth transitions.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate build and deployment for .NET and Angular apps.
• Maintain release notes, guidelines, and troubleshooting docs.
• Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize environments.
• Oversee DB versioning and schema changes during deployments.
• Implement monitoring/logging (ELK, Splunk, App Insights) for reliability.
• Support rollback procedures and post-release validations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mid-Level Release Engineer to manage the deployment and release of modern web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience deploying Microsoft .NET, Angular, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related technologies. You will play a key role in maintaining seamless deployment pipelines, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating across teams to optimize release processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the release of applications developed with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, Angular, SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Manage deployments across multiple environments (development, staging, and production) to ensure smooth transitions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate build and deployment processes for .NET and Angular-based applications.
• Ensure integration and deployment workflows align with agile development practices.
• Set up and maintain environments for Angular front-end, .NET back-end, and database layers (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize environment configurations.
• Oversee database versioning and schema changes during deployments.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk, Application Insights) to ensure system reliability.
• Conduct post‑release validations and address any immediate issues.
• Support rollback procedures and incident resolutions when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive release notes, deployment guidelines, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Define and promote best practices for versioning, build automation, and release management.
• Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment on release schedules and requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in deploying applications using .NET, Angular, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps CI/CD platform.
• Solid understanding of scripting for automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with version control systems such as Git or TFS.
• Knowledge of database deployment and migration practices for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with front‑end build processes using tools like npm, Webpack, or Angular CLI.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS for deployments.
• Experience with cloud‑based databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud Spanner.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience working in travel and transportation domain will be a plus.
