Job Title: Regulatory Control Analyst, NCT
Location: Bangalore, India
Role Description
The candidate will support CB and IB KYC escalations to AFC, collaborating with Business stakeholders, Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and other AFC functions. The primary focus is to review and approve the risk factors highlighted by the CLM team as part of NCA/EDR/PRs.

AFC – KYC COE
- Implement a dedicated Centre(s) of Excellence for the AFC element of KYC file review, allowing customers to be reviewed once in a review cycle.
- Achieve economies of scale through a single functional team of sophisticated risk managers under one global leader accountable for AFC KYC file review and sign‑off process.
- Ensure fulfilment of local regulations and regulatory expectations efficiently and risk‑focused.
- Maintain a “follow‑the‑sun” KYC file review aligned with ACO availability.
- Seek opportunities to co‑locate the COE with 1LoD counterparties to strengthen cooperation and relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve client escalations for remediation, regular review, new product extensions and event‑driven reviews within agreed SLAs.
- Ensure the client risk rating aligns with expectations and procedures.
- Assess risk factors identified through due diligence provided by CLM.
- Apply subject‑matter expertise to judge relevance and materiality of escalation triggers.
- Engage with appropriate BLAFC specialist teams for further escalation (e.g., local BLAFC, AFBC, Sanctions, BIU).
- Liaise with CLM for additional information or request ACO to conduct further research when needed.
- Document outcomes and rationale clearly within KYC systems or escalated for guidance.
- Ensure KYC reviews comply with KOPs guidelines and processes.
- Contribute to the global KYC COE program by identifying best practices.
- Decide on escalation or further governance review for clients.
- Define and implement strategic TOM in line with local, regional and global standards.
Skills and Experience
- Identify and manage financial crime risks from regular reviews, event‑driven reviews, new client adoptions, and new product extensions.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with confidence to advise stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving ability with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to raise sensitive or contentious issues constructively to reach solutions.
- Deadline‑driven and capable of multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, proactive team player who thrives under pressure.
- Work with diverse stakeholders across all 1LoD and 2LoD, managing expectations without compromising quality.
Experience
- Graduate with any stream and at least 2-3 years’ experience in AFC or related control functions within an international organisation/bank in the Financial Services industry with extensive KYC experience.
- Preferable degree or diploma in AML/KYC.
- Strong track record in risk and regulatory matters, including:
- Understanding AFC risks and typologies to identify potential risks.
- Experience with relevant regulations/laws and related circulars.
- Financial Crime function expertise and considered a SME in relevant laws and regulations.
- Flexibility regarding work timings.
- Proficient with MS Office tools (Word and Excel).
