Job summary

Accenture in India is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst with 3–5 years of fraud operations experience. The role focuses on reviewing complex fraud alerts, analyzing transaction activity, and making risk-based decisions.

Candidates should understand US regulations (Reg E/Z) and payment systems, and be able to mentor juniors while handling high-volume workloads. The position requires flexibility to work shifts and achieve target SLAs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in fraud operations.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems (ACH, wire, cards, P2P, RTP).
  • Deep knowledge of fraud typologies (TA, social engineering, mule networks, card-not-present).
  • Working knowledge of US regulations and network rules (Reg E, Reg Z, chargeback frameworks).
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review, investigate, and resolve complex fraud alerts across payment channels (ACH, wire, cards, P2P, RTP).
  • Perform in-depth analysis of account activity, patterns, device/IP intelligence, and behavioral indicators.
  • Handle escalated and high-value cases (account takeover, mule activity, card fraud).
  • Make risk-based decisions on blocks, restrictions, escalations, and dispositions.
  • Review fraud claims, validate evidence, and assess legitimacy for disputes and recovery.
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts on case handling and fraud typologies.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and emerging fraud patterns; share insights with stakeholders.
  • Support QA, training, and process updates to improve performance.
  • Meet SLA, productivity, and quality targets while ensuring compliance with US regulations.

  • Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex fraud scenarios independently.
  • Experience supporting junior team members, quality reviews, or process improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present case rationale clearly to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-volume, SLA-driven environments and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fraud monitoring, case management, or workflow tools are preferred. Working Conditions

  • Handle escalated and high-value cases involving account takeover, scam-related fraud, mule activity, and complex payment fraud scenarios.
  • Make risk-based decisions on transaction blocks, account restrictions, escalations, and case disposition in line with client procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review fraud claims, validate supporting evidence, and assess transaction legitimacy for disputes, chargebacks, and recovery processes.
  • Maintain detailed case documentation, investigation narratives, and audit-ready records across all assigned activities.
  • Provide guidance and floor support to junior analysts on case handling, policy interpretation, and fraud typologies.
  • Identify trends, control gaps, and emerging fraud patterns, and share actionable insights with operations, strategy, or client stakeholders.
  • Support quality reviews, training, process updates, and calibration sessions to improve decision consistency and operational performance.
  • Meet defined SLA, productivity, and quality targets while ensuring compliance with applicable US regulations, including Reg E and Reg Z where relevant
