Overview
As a Regional Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, and distribution efforts of children's books within a specified geographic region. Your primary goal will be to maximize revenue and market share while ensuring that the company's products reach their intended audience effectively.
Responsibilities
- Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region.
- Manage a team of sales representatives and distributors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, including bookstores, Distributors, Whole sellers, School book fair Exhibitors, Chain Store, Super Market, FMCG Retail.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create regional marketing plans and promotional campaigns that align with overall company objectives.
- Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends and consumer preferences, adapting marketing strategies accordingly.
- Distribution and Logistics:
- Oversee the distribution process within the region, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Relationship Management:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, networking with stakeholders and promoting company initiatives.
- Act as a brand ambassador, advocating for the company's values and vision within the children's publishing community.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, detailing sales performance, market share, and competitive analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Master or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in FMCG/ Stationary industry is must.
- Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of achieving revenue targets and managing a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel within the region as needed.
