About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Role: Regional People Advisor - Hyderabad The Regional People Advisor serves as a trusted advisor to People Leaders and employees, delivering practical and business-focused people solutions while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and employment regulations. The role balances strategic partnership with operational execution and plays a key role in fostering a high-performing, inclusive and engaged workplace culture. Business Context: India represents the largest region within S&P Global, and the India People Solutions team comprises Regional People Advisory, People Services and M&A. The Regional People Advisory (RPA) team partners with the global people function ecosystem, including Centres of Excellence, Divisional and Functional People Partners, India Site Leaders, senior leaders and People Leaders to drive critical people priorities and processes, implement enterprise-wide programs, support organizational effectiveness, and enable effective day-to-day people leadership aligned to S&P Global’s people-forward ethos. The Team: The Regional People Advisor is an Individual Contributor role based in Hyderabad and reporting into the RPA Cluster Lead – Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Chennai. The incumbent is part of the India Regional People Advisory team. The role requires extensive collaboration with People Services, Centres of Excellence, the M&A team, Global People Partners and business stakeholders across functions and divisions. The incumbent will partner with Site Leadership to support site governance, workplace culture initiatives and location-specific people priorities. The role works in a highly matrixed environment and supports the successful implementation of enterprise people priorities while addressing business and regional needs.
Expected Role Impact: The incumbent is expected to serve as a trusted advisor to People Leaders and employees, enabling the effective execution of people priorities, programs and processes across assigned client groups. The role plays a key part in fostering a performance-driven, people-forward culture anchored on fairness, respect, accountability and inclusion, while partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification and innovation. By leveraging data, insights and technology, the incumbent supports informed decision-making and enhances the employee experience, while ensuring compliance with local labour laws, statutory requirements and company policies.
