Job summary

JLL seeks an experienced Regional Engineering Manager to lead a multi-site engineering team across Gurugram, ensuring optimal building performance and energy efficiency. You will drive capital planning, technology implementation, and client-focused service delivery.

You will oversee budgets, mentor engineers, and collaborate with property management to align operations with strategic objectives, while ensuring compliance and safety standards across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 10 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, UPS, FAS, electrical, plumbing, and building automation.
• Professional engineering license or relevant certifications preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision making.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to deliver exceptional building engineering services.
• Develop and implement strategic engineering plans to optimize building performance and support client objectives.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and emergency response for critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire safety).
• Manage engineering budgets, CAPEX planning, and cost optimization across properties.
• Collaborate with property management to integrate engineering with building operations.
• Drive sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance building automation and performance.
• Establish relationships with vendors and service providers for quality delivery and pricing.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to deliver exceptional building engineering services
• Develop and implement strategic engineering plans that optimize building performance and support client business objectives
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and emergency response protocols for critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire safety
• Manage engineering budgets, capital expenditure planning, and cost optimization initiatives across multiple properties
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering operations with overall building management
• Drive sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programs that reduce environmental impact and operational costs
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovative solutions to enhance building automation and performance monitoring
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality delivery and competitive pricing
• Prepare comprehensive reports on engineering performance metrics, system reliability, and improvement recommendations

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering,
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role having managed multiple sites
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, UPS, FAS, electrical, plumbing, and building automation
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and developing technical talent
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, capital planning, and cost control methodologies
• Professional engineering license or relevant industry certifications preferred
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience in data-driven decision making
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in engineering or business administration
• Experience in managing FM operations of IT/ITES/BPO
• Certifications in energy management, sustainability, or building automation systems
• Background in implementing technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and multi-site operations
• Knowledge of LEED standards and green building practices
