Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Regional Compliance Lead to be based at our Gurugram Head Office, India, responsible for implementing the Group Compliance Programme and driving ethics, integrity and regulatory compliance across the region.

The role requires deep expertise in ABAC, investigations, risk management, third‑party due diligence and stakeholder engagement within a multinational professional services environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in ethics and compliance or related fields.
• Professional qualifications in compliance, ethics or risk management are desirable.
• Experience in ABAC, whistleblower programs, investigations and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group Compliance Programme across the region.
• Promote a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance through training, awareness and engagement.
• Maintain regional compliance risk registers and ensure mitigation of key risks.
• Oversee processes including conflicts of interest, declarations, third‑party due diligence, gifts and hospitality.
• Lead third‑party due diligence and risk‑based monitoring.
• Support investigations related to whistleblower reports, fraud and misconduct.
• Provide practical compliance guidance to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Support audits, reporting and management updates on key risks and remediation.
• Monitor ISO 37001 readiness and other compliance assurance initiatives.

About the Role

The Regional Compliance Lead, based at our Head Office in Gurugram, India, will lead the implementation of the Group Compliance Programme, driving compliance, ethics and integrity, risk management, investigations, governance and regulatory compliance across the business.

This role requires an experienced compliance professional with strong expertise in ethics and compliance, investigations, risk management, anti-bribery and corruption, third-party due diligence and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group Compliance Programme across the region.
• Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity and compliance through training, awareness and business engagement.
• Maintain and oversee regional compliance risk registers, ensuring key risks are identified, monitored and appropriately mitigated.
• Oversee key compliance processes, including Conflict of Interest, Employee Declarations, Business Partner Due Diligence, Gifts & Hospitality and related activities.
• Lead and coordinate third-party due diligence, compliance assessments and risk-based monitoring.
• Support investigations relating to whistleblower reports, fraud, misconduct, bribery, corruption and other compliance matters.
• Provide practical compliance guidance to business leaders and stakeholders and support ethical decision-making.
• Support compliance monitoring, audits, reporting and management updates, including key risks and remediation activities.
• Support ISO 37001 readiness, certification and other compliance assurance initiatives.
• Monitor emerging regulatory developments and recommend appropriate actions to maintain compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Governance or a related discipline. A Master's Degree or relevant professional qualification would be an advantage.
• Relevant professional qualification or certification in Compliance, Ethics, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Fraud, AML or a related field would be highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Ethics & Compliance, Risk Management, Investigations, Internal Audit, Governance or related disciplines.
• Strong experience in Ethics & Compliance, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABAC), Whistleblower/Speak-Up Programmes, Investigations, Third-Party Due Diligence and Compliance Risk Management.
• Strong understanding of compliance, ethics, governance and risk frameworks, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business functions.
• Experience working in a multinational, consulting, engineering, infrastructure, construction or professional services environment would be highly regarded. Experience with ISO 37001 would be advantageous.
