Overview

Regional Commodity Manager role to manage $30 million spending. It is a key individual contributor in the APAC procurement organization. Supports business growth of PA, FS and Core Silicone to meet goals from raw material & indirect material sourcing and competitive advantage. Collaborates with peers to develop global procurement strategy. Partners with SIOP/Operation, aligning on requirements and priorities to balance cost and risk, providing enterprise-wide value. The role acts as the sourcing expert globally to respond to requests from regional and global segment leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the assigned category, establish sourcing strategy, negotiate contracts, contract execution and supplier management to ensure supply security and achieve annual targets of Productivity and Inf/def.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to drive new supplier development to support the sourcing strategy and meet new business growth needs.
  • Deep dive into the market and update the latest market information, translate it into opportunities and risks, and take proactive actions to benefit the business.
  • Build relationships with business leaders from regional to global. Understand short-term and long-term requirements from customers, and provide market insight to support sales strategy development.
  • Maintain close contact with peers globally and collaborate on global strategy development.
  • Demonstrate market awareness and develop effective business strategies to accommodate market complexity.
  • Trade Payable management (WAT / payment term improvement).
