Detailed Job Description

As a Red Hat Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance optimization, and support of mission‑critical Linux server environments. The successful candidate will manage RHEL‑based systems, perform patching and upgrades, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and ensure platform availability and security. You will work closely with infrastructure, application, database, and operations teams to support enterprise IT environments while implementing best practices for system administration and automation. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Manage Linux server operations, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Perform operating system patching, upgrades, and security updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system and server‑related issues.
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls.
• Configure and maintain Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and Linux file systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–8 years of hands‑on Linux System Administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Extensive experience with Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Linux patch management and system upgrades.
• Experience managing user accounts, groups, permissions, and security policies.
• Hands‑on experience with LVM, file systems, storage management, and disk administration.
• Strong shell scripting skills (Bash/Shell).
• Experience with Linux system monitoring and performance optimization.
• Understanding of networking concepts, services, and Linux security best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
