Job summary

IIM Indore invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) in the Marketing area. Fellows will conduct research under a faculty mentor, with a focus on product and brand management, for a maximum of two years with potential renewal based on performance. Eligibility includes a Ph.D.

completed within the last five years from a premier institute (excluding IIM Indore) with strong academic records. Desirable ABDC publications are preferred, and on-campus accommodation may be available at

Qualifications

• Successfully defended Ph.D. (within 5 years of the application) from a premier institute/university (excluding IIM Indore) with a minimum of 60% marks / 1st division in the master’s degree or degree immediately preceding Ph.D.
• Desirable: Should have a minimum of “B” category (or above) publication in the journal list (ABDC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Must teach at least a 4-credit course / per year of tenure (1 credit= 6.25 hours of teaching).
• Expect at least one research article in an A (or above) category journal (ABDC or equivalent) per year from the PDF collaboration.
• Research papers (pre-prints) published or accepted

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship is designed to keep in view Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) goal to create a high-quality research environment. IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) is a research opportunity offered by IIM Indore to Ph.D. degree holders. Its objective is to support high-quality research by scholars holding a doctoral degree and an outstanding academic record. IIM Indore PDF in management aims to identify young, motivated individuals for doing research in different specializations of management. Fellows selected for the Post Doctoral position will conduct academic research jointly with a resident faculty member in their mutual area of interest. A PDF will work with a faculty mentor who is expected to provide ample opportunities to develop the fellow as an independent researcher.

Proposed Area of Research:

• Product and Brand Management

Duration: 1 year [can be renewed for the second term, i.e., max 2-years]

Eligibility: Successfully defended Ph.D. (within 5 years of the application) from a premier institute/university (excluding IIM Indore) with a minimum of 60% marks / 1st division in the master’s degree or degree immediately preceding Ph.D.

Stipend:

• (b) Start-up fund: ₹ 40,000/- one-time [for attending conferences, buying computing devices]
• (c) Publication incentive for publishing in high-quality journals

Other facilities provided to post-doctoral fellows:

• Accommodation on campus (if available) at the discounted rate of ₹ 3000/- per month.
• Office-space (place to sit and work) if available.
• Services available to other students (e.g., bus (on chargeable basis), internet, library, etc.)

• This is purely a contractual appointment for a maximum period of two years with annual renewal based on the performance review.
