Job summary

Jump Trading Group is expanding its back office in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, and seeks a senior reconciliation lead to own daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash across global markets. You will mentor a team, drive issue resolution, and partner with technology to automate processes.

The role requires a decade of reconciliation experience, strong data skills, and excellent English communication to coordinate across time zones and with trading, technology, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in reconciliation or related operations.
• Direct people-management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of trade, position, and cash reconciliation and lifecycle.
• Deep asset class familiarity across equities, FX, futures, options, fixed income.
• Experience reconciling with prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team.
• Comfort with large, complex data sets and data-driven conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Controls-oriented mindset focused on reducing operational risk.

You will own daily reconciliation oversight of trades, positions, and cash across all global markets and asset classes, leading a team of associates and partnering closely with trading, technology, and the wider operations group.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the end-to-end daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash against prime brokers, custodians, clearing members, clearing corporations, and fund administrators.
• Lead, mentor, and continue to develop talent across the team, allocating workload across coverage windows and acting as the escalation point for complex breaks.
• Oversee the investigation and timely resolution of breaks, partnering with internal teams and external counterparties globally to research root causes.
• Onboard new reconciliations and counterparties as the firm's activity and controls expand.
• Identify patterns in recurring breaks and drive feedback into upstream processes to reduce future exceptions.
• Own management reporting on match rates, break aging, root-cause trends, and team KPIs.
• Document and formalize procedures to ensure consistency, scalability, and knowledge continuity across the team.
• Partner with technology to evaluate, design, and implement automation and process improvements.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Atleast 10+ years of experience in reconciliation, settlements, or a related operations function, including direct people-management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of trade, position, and cash reconciliation and the full trade lifecycle, with emphasis on global market conventions.
• Deep asset class familiarity across equities, equity swaps, FX, futures, options, fixed income products and related instruments.
• Hands-on experience reconciling against prime brokers, custodians, clearing members and corporations, and fund administrators.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team and drive delivery against tight deadlines across time zones.
• Comfort working with large, complex data sets and drawing conclusions from them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across time zones.
• A controls-oriented mindset with a focus on reducing operational risk.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
