Job summary

State Street seeks a seasoned Leader to manage Data Conversion (IBOR) within large client-facing transformation programs. The Officer will oversee strategy, planning, execution, and governance of end-to-end IBOR conversion during Alpha implementations across front, middle, and back offices.

• Experience in Capital markets across middle/back/front office.
• 10–14 years overall industry experience.
• 9+ years in financial industry, preferably investment/asset management.
• Strong understanding of IBOR/ABOR, securities, loans, and transactions.
• Experience with platforms like IBOR/ABOR, Eagle, PAM, Portia, CRD.
• Excellent client interfacing and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a 10–20 person team, meet onboarding goals.
• Adaptable to high paced environments with tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, CS or IT; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leads to train, answer questions, assess needs, and propose changes
• Analyze data and convert data for new clients to the in-house Middle Office system
• Lead data-conversion lifecycle: requirements, design, client acceptance, timelines, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance
• Map new requirements to State Street processes and tools
• Create data maps mapping legacy data flows to in-house systems
• Define inputs/outputs of conversion and communicate issues internally/externally
• Resolve data issues and gaps between legacy and future data models
• Deliver conversion planning and testing to meet milestones

Job description

We are seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record in managing Data Conversion (IBOR) within large-scale, client-facing transformation programs. The Officer will play a pivotal role in the Alpha Global Conversion Practice, overseeing strategy, planning, execution, and governance of end-to-end platform IBOR Conversion during Alpha implementations. These programs span complex business models and data flows across front, middle, and back office operations involving State Street, Charles River Development, clients, and industry partners.

Thorough Conversion of Alpha’s applications, data, and workflows is essential to accelerate implementation timelines, ensure consistent delivery, and provide a seamless client experience. The Officer will be instrumental in driving this transformation and ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

Specifically, The Candidate Will

• Work with Business Leads to training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes
• Work on data analysis and data conversion of new Clients to an in‑house Middle Office system
• Work on the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology. This includes requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance
• Understand the current processes and tools used by State Street, and map new requirements to this tool
• Ability to create data maps, to map the data flow from legacy systems to the in‑house systems using existing functionality and processes
• Work on inputs and outputs from the conversion process, and communicate issues internally and externally as required
• Resolve issues and gaps in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model basis the feedback provided
• Work on the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestones
• Participate in the actual conversion tests and dress rehearsals

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Overall 10 to 14 Years of Industry Experience
• Good knowledge and experience in Capital markets – Middle, Back Office & Front office is key
• 9+ years of relevant Financial Industry Experience required, preferably Investment Management, Asset Management
• Great Understanding of Securities, Loans, IBOR/ABOR, Transaction Management
• Fair understanding & experience on platforms like IBOR/ABOR, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, CRD
• Good Communication Skills with good external and internal client interfacing skills
• Manage a team of 10-20 to meet onboarding goals
• Ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
• Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectivesExperience working on projects related to Middle & Back Office Client On boarding
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology
• Nice to have :MBA in Finance, Management, Business Administration from Premier B School
