Job summary

State Street is seeking a seasoned leader to drive end-to-end IBOR conversion across Alpha implementations, coordinating strategy, planning, and governance in large client-facing programs.

The Officer will oversee data conversion, requirements analysis, design, testing, and deployment, partnering with front, middle, and back-office teams, and managing a 10-20 person team to deliver timely onboarding and successful transformations.

Qualifications

• 12 to 18 years of industry experience in finance.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets across middle, back, and front office.
• 9+ years of relevant financial industry experience, preferably Investment/Asset Management.
• Knowledge of IBOR/ABOR, Securities, Loans, and transaction management.
• Experience with IBOR/ABOR platforms including Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, CRD.
• Excellent communication skills for external and internal client interfacing.
• Ability to manage a team of 10-20 to meet onboarding goals.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience with middle & back-office client onboarding.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Leads to training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes.
• Work on data analysis and data conversion of new Clients to an in-house Middle Office system.
• Oversee the data conversion development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, client acceptance, timeline, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Understand State Street processes and map new requirements to this tool.
• Create data maps mapping data flow from legacy to in-house systems.
• Communicate issues internally and externally as required.
• Resolve data discrepancies between legacy and future state models per feedback.
• Oversee conversion planning deliverables and testing to meet milestones.
• Participate in actual conversion tests and dress rehearsals.

Job description

We are seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record in managing Data Conversion (IBOR) within large-scale, client-facing transformation programs. The Officer will play a pivotal role in the Alpha Global Conversion Practice, overseeing strategy, planning, execution, and governance of end-to-end platform IBOR Conversion during Alpha implementations. These programs span complex business models and data flows across front, middle, and back office operations involving State Street, Charles River Development, clients, and industry partners.

The Officer will be instrumental in driving this transformation and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Specifically, The Candidate Will

• Work with Business Leads to training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes
• Work on data analysis and data conversion of new Clients to an in-house Middle Office system
• Work on the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology. This includes requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance
• Understand the current processes and tools used by State Street, and map new requirements to this tool
• Ability to create data maps, to map the data flow from legacy systems to the in-house systems using existing functionality and processes
• Work on inputs and outputs from the conversion process, and communicate issues internally and externally as required
• Resolve issues and gaps in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model basis the feedback provided
• Work on the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestones
• Participate in the actual conversion tests and dress rehearsals

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Overall 12 to 18 Years of Industry Experience
• Good knowledge and experience in Capital markets – Middle, Back Office & Front office is key
• 9+ years of relevant Financial Industry Experience required, preferably Investment Management, Asset Management
• Great Understanding of Securities, Loans, IBOR/ABOR, Transaction Management
• Fair understanding & experience on platforms like IBOR/ABOR, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, CRD
• Good Communication Skills with good external and internal client interfacing skills
• Manage a team of 10-20 to meet onboarding goals
• Ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
• Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectives
• Experience working on projects related to Middle & Back Office Client On boarding
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology
• Nice to have :MBA in Finance, Management, Business Administration from Premier B School
