Job summary

Infosys Limited in Trivandrum is seeking an experienced RDKV Developer to work on platform development for embedded systems and OTT streaming solutions. You will contribute to WebKit(WPE) porting, browser engine enhancements, and multimedia rendering.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in embedded browser development, with strong C/C++, HTML/JavaScript, and OpenGL ES2 expertise. Collaboration across teams is essential for delivering performance-focused features.

Qualifications

• Expertise in C/C++ programming for performance-critical code.

• HTML and JavaScript deep understanding and translation to browser engine.
• Experience with DRM used in OTT streaming (PlayReady/Widevine).

Responsibilities

• Work on RDKV (Reference Design Kit - Video) platform development and customization
• Design and develop multimedia web browser solutions for embedded systems
• Work on WebKit (WPE) porting, customization, and browser engine enhancements
• Contribute to OTT streaming solutions with focus on performance and scalability
• Develop and optimize graphics rendering using OpenGL ES2
• Implement and enhance MSE (Media Source Extensions) / EME (Encrypted Media Extensions) functionalities
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of features
• Debug and resolve performance, stability, and compatibility issues in embedded environments

Technical and Professional Requirements

• 5+ years relevant experience with development of Web Browser for embedded systems with focus on to multimedia
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills
• Proven experience with WebKit(WPE) porting and/or development, good knowledge about other Web browser engines
• HTML & JavaScript code development experience with deep understanding on how that is translated to WebBrowser engine
• OpenGL ES2 and graphics programming
• Proven embedded Linux experience and good understanding of real time operating systems concepts
• Expertise with MSE/EME extensions development
• Experience with DRM used in OTT streaming(PlayReady/Widevine)
• Good knowledge about various streaming technologies and A/V containers(HLS, MPEG-DASH)
• Good knowledge of modern rendering and window managers (Wayland, Weston, Westeros) is a big plus
