Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks Lead – Erection – Site for structural erection management at project sites in Chennai. You will plan, supervise, and coordinate erection activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines while leading teams including riggers, welders, and crane operators.

You will interpret erection drawings, process GFCs and sequencing plans, and collaborate with design, planning, and procurement to secure timely access to drawings and equipment for uninterrupted erection work.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in structural erection and site coordination preferred.
• 5–25 years of relevant erection experience mentioned in ad.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise erection of steel components and heavy assemblies at site.
• Interpret erection drawings, GFCs, and sequencing plans for the team.
• Ensure compliance with design, method statements, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with design, planning, and procurement for timely drawings and equipment.

Job Description

The Lead – Erection – Site is responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination, and execution of all structural erection activities at the project site. The role ensures adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines, while managing teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders for smooth erection operations.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plan and supervise erection of structural elements such as steel components, precast elements, equipment supports, and heavy assemblies at site.
• Interpret erection drawings, GFCs, and erection sequencing plans to guide the execution team.
• Ensure all erection activities comply with structural design, method statements, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with design, planning, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of erection drawings, components, tools, and equipment.
• Supervise deployment and performance of erection teams including riggers, fitters, welders, and crane operators.
